More than a restaurant group, 1618 Concepts has come to encompass three restaurants, a catering business, a mobile kitchen plus hundreds of employees that embrace a people-first, community based business model.
The original establishment—1618 West Seafood Grille—has been the epitome of fine dining in the Triad since it opened in 2004. Seven years later, proprietors Nick Wilson and George Neal decided while they loved the Grille, they wanted another place to “hang out” that was a bit more casual. Somewhere they could get a great drink, a little food and stay out late. And so in 2011, 1618 Midtown (then called 1618 Wine Lounge) was born. Success begets success, as they say, and a few years later, 1618 Downtown emerged, then a mobile kitchen which led to a full-blown catering and events business.
